Colors! 3D
What if crayons, markers and paper disappeared in say… fifty years? Alright, it’s more than unlikely to ever happen. But keep an open mind, because the advantages of digital art are growing.
C + 2 got to meet face to face with a tremendously talented individual who demonstrated the marvels of his product Colors! 3D.
How many remember as far back as early childhood? How many admit to using leaky markers, paint or crayons on priceless wallpaper or new furniture, besides coloring outside the lines on coloring paper? Art is more than a necessity for children; it’s life. While some parents might dread the idea of allowing their kids to draw with objects that might stain and ruin parts of the house, this grand product will undoubtedly solve quite a few problems.
Since children are becoming more and more used to fun technology in iphones, ipads and particularly portable game consoles, it makes perfect sense to add interactive apps that inspire future artists. Colors! 3D allows just that.

According to designer and programmer Jens Andersson, Colors! was designed as a simple painting application for drawing-tablets on desktop computers. But at his company, Collective Smile, Mr. Andersson sought to create a greater outlet for artistically active imaginations by sharing his ideas and findings with the gaming community. Since 2008, Colors! has been released for the iphone, the ipod touch and now for Nintendo 3DS.

Quite a few benefits come with this product.
-Through wireless Internet connection, friends can share drawings and paintings.
-An assortment of coloring pages are available for those who wish to stay within the lines.
-With Nintendo 3DS, painting are available in 3D!
Just have a look at the gallery at http://colorslive.com/ to see the amazing assortment of images created with Colors! and Colors! 3D.
Positive reviews are pouring in from all around praising this outstanding app.
In due time, museum’s worldwide will dedicate an entire floor to digital art.
Can you picture it happening?
Eligium: The Chosen One

Engaging realms of dreamlike wonder and exciting journeys await players in the free-to-play MMORPG exclusively for PC, Eligium: The Chosen One. A plethora of demons, monstrous minions and their mighty bosses are ready to tear the world apart, but the ultimate challenge lies in discovering who will be the savior to defeat the rising evil and restore freedom from tyranny.
Over the years gamers have seen immense changes in the development of MMORPGs. However, Eligium: The Chosen One stands out among them with numerous expansive attributes that allow an exceptional litheness in gameplay, separating it from the standard MMORPGs already in existence.
A massive virtual world rich in ever-changing fantastical design is available for players to roam freely, but first they must create a character by choosing among four specific races, each with distinctive histories and backgrounds: Elves, Pandas, Silvias and Humans. There is also the choice of class: Warriors, Hunters, Druids, Mages and Monks.

The game is not about leveling up but rather improving oneself in all ways possible step by step, even with skills. For example, upon receiving a weapon, the player must responsibly train the weapon in order for it to become stronger in use during battles, or in other words, practice makes perfect. And just as endless perils lie ahead, there’s no need to face them all alone. The option of joining groups or facing dangers alone remains an active decision.
A unique inclusion in gameplay is a pet-rearing system with the opportunity to nurture an exotic animal steed from an egg to a grown beast ready to serve and be mounted for battle. For the best quality in a steed, it’s of upmost importance to feed and properly care for it, otherwise the creature isn’t likely to be reliable. Expect to see a number of familiar species yet with enormously striking features: wild boar, tortoise, panther, tiger, elk and dodos (to name a few). If desirable, there’s a chance to breed companion pets, mythical and robotic, no that’s not a typographical error; there really are robots. But there’s more! Aside from raising the mounts, combat moves can be executed while riding them.

During GDC last month, C + 2 was granted the honor of getting to play this outstanding game from developer Shanda Games and publisher Frogster Interactive.
How could anyone not want to envelope themselves in such a bedazzling environment full of castles, dungeons, battlefields and quests? The near-unlimited combination of diverse customizations, personal character developments, and the option for unrestrained strategic exchanges with other players worldwide guarantee a new gaming experience.

The scheduled release for this game is sometime in 2012.
Game Features:
• Five playable race/class combinations including panda fighters.
• High degree of customization through special skill system, crafting and extensive item upgrading.
• Challenging group instances and dungeons as well as open world opponents.
• PvP and guild systems featuring wars between factions and guilds, player housing, ranking system and much more
• Mount-hatching system and pets that aid players.
