Best Guitar Heroine in the World
Bio: Education/Work: I am a full-time student. My major is in Arts and Technology, and I am specializing in 3d modeling and lighting/texturing. I'd like to work for a game company when I graduate.
Gaming Experience: I am a professional gamer for Team Pandemic.
Favorite games & Platforms: Mostly combat/pvp types like Halo, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, WoW, etc. I'm mostly known for Guitar Hero, as the top female in the world and generally one of the top overall. I have an XBOX 360, PS2, Wii
Public Appearances Experience: I've been featured in several magazines (D Magazine, Dallas Observer, etc), and I've performed at events with well-known rockstars (Slash, Gene Simmons).
Hobbies: When I’m not in front of a TV screen, you can find me at my keyboard composing music or rocking out on my electric guitar.
Background: I’m your typical gamer - I grew up playing Tanks on my Atari (old school, I know) and was addicted to my Super NES. Back then, I was always afraid of playing games and got really stressed out. My sister and friends would always play them for me, which was kind of weird but I learned a lot. Eventually I started playing them myself and became extremely competitive, starting with Cruisin’ World (N64). When I got to college, I realized that there was a large Super Smash Brothers Melee crowd and instantly got hooked. I made friends with the top players in the state and I try to attend all the big local tournaments. These same friends also stumbled on to Guitar Hero and they refused to play Smash for a while. Finally I gave in, and decided to try it out only to find out I failed miserably. I was so bad that I failed “I Love Rock & Roll” on easy. I decided that if I were going to fail, it would have to be on Expert - so I skipped all the other difficulties… and continued to fail. Eventually I bought the game, joined ScoreHero (an online community/database for Guitar Hero), and practiced enough to play with the big boys. Pandemic picked me up in April ‘07, and I’ve never been happier because I love these guys. When I’m not playing video games, I’m composing music on piano, glued to IRC, or trying to learn how to play real guitar - I’m awful. I also enjoy B-rated comedies and disgusting horror films. Also, if you call me a "gamer girl" I will hurt you. I'm a gamer.
